Secret Arcana is a website aiming to publish on a regular basis well-researched articles on the powerful, yet concealed, forces shaping our world. It is maintained by VC, the creator of  The Vigilant Citizen, a popular website exploring occult symbolism in popular culture. Secret Arcana expands on key concepts discussed on Vigilant Citizen and goes in greater details on the hidden knowledge, the influential people and the occult symbolism of those in power.

This website does not aim to promote or to dismiss particular views, opinions or belief systems. It rather attempts to present in an objective matter the subjects at hand, using credible sources from different viewpoints. In short, Secret Arcana is about seeking the truth: nothing more, nothing less.

About the Author

My quest for knowledge led me to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Politics in 2002. I’ve mainly studied the way power uses mass media to shape and mold attitudes of the general public. My education was perfect to hold a job in political marketing and PR, but did not satisfy my thirst for truth.

My efforts to further understand the forces governing the world lead me to study secret societies, mystery religions, esoteric sciences and ancient civilizations. I’ve spent the last seven years researching Theosophy, Freemasonry, Rosicrucianism, the Bavarian Illuminati and Western Occultism.

About the Secret Arcana Logo

The crossed keys on the Secret Arcana logo are a reference to St-Peter’s “Keys of Heaven”. It is the ultimate symbol representing the influence of hidden forces in our world. The esoteric meaning attributed to the crossed keys is especially relevant to the site.
